In this episode, Alegria interviews Angela Cotherman, a Speech and Language Pathologist in elementary schools in Northern CA. They discuss the concerns, challenges, and silver linings of supporting preschool through elementary students and families that require additional support services in the traditional educational environment, and how these supports may be affected with distance-learning this year.
For reference, this episode was recorded the first week of September when many Northern California schools started. It’s been nearly a month and these districts have made the decision to continue distance learning for the remainder of 2020 due to Covid-19.
